Jindal

For the Weekly Standard. I went with a simpler style this time.

That's Louisiana right? Yeah I'm so good - or I am being a complete moron because I should know that it is obviously Louisiana because of some "hint" I missed, which is more likely and probably also the reason why I have no idea WHY that guy is polishing Louisiana... Anyways, I wanted to say that I love your portraits, especially the sketchbook ones, your technique is amazing! I wish I would become such a good artist as you are, so I gotta keep studying, I already have the same forename ;) Cheers!

I'm a Saints fan, an supporter of Jindal (why isn't he running for the big ticket?), and an admirer of your work. All from the blue state of Oregon.

Was this more of a digital cell shading technique you used to color this? Or did you stick mostly to your digitally painterly ways? The shading looks very crisp.

Micah, yeah I'm a fan too, (of Jindal not the Saints particularly :)
I used my regular method. I wished I had done a better drawing which would have allowed me to use a more cell painting approach and saved time.
