I guess this is maybe a post more appropriate before Halloween, oh well. This is a nice picture I found somewhere and decided to paint. I hate it when I paint things like this just for practice and they turn out nice(in my opinion), then I am stuck with a painting that's not really my own.

I included a detail picture. I've had a hard time getting good pictures of the detail in my paintings. Digital pictures will never do justice to the real thing.

This is an oil painting.
I'm not really a Chuck Close fan, I'm not a big fan of modern art pretty much as a whole. I think theres a lot of gross colors and subjects that kind of give me a sick feeling.

Pretty awesome control of the paint. The thumbnail seriously looks like a photo to me. I've been getting back into oils more, partially inspired by posts like this!
