A painting for Avalanche of a king. I like how the colors worked out. I was nervous about the drawing early on, but it worked too. I am really trying to give my paintings more depth and more complexity.

great lights on the crown, great face, great great job
I can't imagine how huge you will become if you add more complexity to your works,
really, you also f****** rule!!!
Hah hah! I really like this guy's face. I feel like I caught him doing something and he's calculating an excuse. Great job on the crown too.
That has to be the greatest visual documentation of a Burger King crown in the history of the world. Top notch work as always.
Получился очень забавным!Здорово!:O)
You're the king...er...well he is the king, but this is a great painting. I'm lovin' the crown. Makes me happy.
Great stuff man!
great design!! Love the painting!
Your paintings are great! I love the color transitions that you've done on the facial area of this piec. Your technique really shines! True inspiration!
For projeects like this do you look at photo's or just do it from memory? It looks great. wonderful expression.
Thanks for the comments.
samwise I do use reference almost always but for things like this I use one or more basic references of an old man's face just to see all the subtle muscles and bumps on the face.
