Poker

An illustration done for the Weekly Standard magazine. I like a lot of things about it but it was less then one day turn around which doesn't allow for much polish, you got to get it right the first time.

Thanks,
Logan, I would like to have spent more time with the color concept. These colors had no plan behind them I think I could have done something more interesting. A little more time to render would have been nice as well.

Thanks, Mark I think I got the call 5pm then the thing was due early afternoon the next day. I prefer to have a little more time.

Love this one. I am pretty much aware of the political tug-o-war on budget, and your illustration of Pual Ryan and Obama in a poker game is interestingly funny. I noticed some details of Obama cheating with an extra card. I didn't know you're also contributing some works to WEEKLY STANDARD. Cool.

The wrinkles on Obama's neck are genius. I've spent the past few hours staring at your work with jaws dropped. Your discipline and desire to push yourself in any medium, any style, (any time limit) is immensely inspiring and encouraging. Keep up the good work! (my favorites are when you draw your children - you can almost see the love that goes into each stroke)
