I asked my wife if she thought people would be getting sick of non-stop pictures of my little girl. My wife said no because she is pretty. So once again here is another drawing of my pretty daughter. This one feels pretty good to me, I got away from the sketchbook for a while there and could see my drawings getting sloppy. So I've been back at it and there getting better, just got to get back on that bike.A couple posts down the drawing was done for a painting so its messy, this is done to look finished.
I never tire of seeing your drawings, Dave -- I could look at them for hours (and sometimes do). And the fact that your little girl is so beautiful… well, that’s just gravy on the mashed taters.

No no no no, of course we don't get tired of this lil darling!! Seeing portraits of children is fascinating, and it certainly doesn't hurt that she's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteThis one looks the most like her of all of them. And I should know; I kiss those little rosy cheeks all day long. PS you need a better hiding place for your erasers. Unless you like the teeth marks in them.....

Drawing children is most challenging (I have 4 kids myself) and children are in a sense more beautiful than adults because they are honest and openminded.

ReplyDeleteHeya! Just saw this month's Disney Newsreel mag cover. "Inside the Disney Research Notebook". Theres a quick sketch of a little girl being set up for a 3d princess print. It reminded me a lot of the proportions of your girl. Is that image from you?
