I did this figure drawing a couple of years back but have always liked it. Those were the blissful days of figure drawing 4 times a week. Now I am just trying to keep my head above water when it comes to figure drawings, though I've been a little more optimistic lately.
I have to agree, its a shame that there is no time to draw as much these days. Really nice foreshortening on this one.
ReplyDeleteexcelentes figures as always david!
ReplyDeletecongratulations
It's awesome!
ReplyDeleteI really like the rhythm of the lines through the legs/pelvis, shoulders, and head, and how you echoed that in the way you rendered the form and background. Very inspiring for me, a lesser artist!
ReplyDeleteReally nice. The sculptural feel and even the model reminds me of a leyendecker/early rockwell.
ReplyDeleteDavid, Your work is outstanding!!! I'm in complete awe of your talent.
ReplyDeleteVery well done!
ReplyDeleteI agree totally with you, Mr. Malan, this figure drawing is excellent, and the lack of practice about model drawing is a serious problem for me aswell.
ReplyDeleteA very beautfiful drawing. Powerful and expressive. Neil
