The newest digital painting. I guess I just
like faces. They are interesting. I worked hard for a cool background but in the end failed and had to give up. Actually I have very limited interest in backgrounds( obviously). I
usually finish the character then it's like a race to decide on and complete a background, I have about 1 hour before my interest trails off and I give up. I was working on a beach scene, once again choose
your own adventure when it comes to the story.
Hat tip to
Joe for the E.T. finger idea.
I really like the hair, the softness and form are brilliant! Also, wonderful colors in the face!
ReplyDeletenice digital painting...
ReplyDeletewhat software u r using?
photoshop? macromedia? corel?
and really eager to see the background u had been working out with...though u had gave up...
He looks kind of annoyed by the whole lit finger. Like he's already told IT about twenty times and when they come to his office he says, "My finger keeps lighting up," and they say, "It's not lit now," and he says, "Well as soon as you leave..." And so they tell him. Well do this and it should fix the problem, so he does, and it stops glowing for a day or two...
ReplyDeleteAnyway, who needs great backgrounds when you can draw characters like this? Great job.
Looks like the psychiatrist from the Terminator Movies
ReplyDeleteI love it. If I had a glowing finger, I'd keep it extended all the time too... mostly to show off, but also because I don't want the light rubbing off on my shirt.
ReplyDeleteBrillante!
ReplyDeleteonce again, your character is perfect, Dave!!! Amazingly, I did something quite similar (but not so well executed...) a few weeks ago!!
ReplyDeleteI dig the expression you gave to him.
you really are a fantastic artist, I always learn something new from every new post!! thanks a lot!!
Oh, Dave, thanks for your comment!! I never meant that you copied my work!! there is a huge misunderstanding, I guess!!! don't worry about this, that was more something like we say here:"les grands esprits se rencontrent" (Ask to Seb Gallego for translation ;-)).
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry if you thought I accused you of anything!! don't worry, it's my entire fault, I didn't use the good sentence to say that. sorry again!!
Very nicely rendered and great expression.
ReplyDeletei think this is pure greatness. your painting technique is outstanding. i turn green everytime i look at your work. (with envy...not like the hulk or anything)
ReplyDeleteAbsolutly beautiful work here - some stunning paintings.
ReplyDeleteThis turned out nice, but I must say I was liking how the beach was going with the more flat colored background. Old man phone home.
