Nobody likes Gilligan anymore so here is something a little darker. The Godfather slightly stylized oil on board painting. This is an older work, but oil painting with black and white is always a good way to learn how to paint without the headache of colors. And The Godfather I and II are great movies.

ReplyDeleteI've drawn all my life. It's just been something I have always been strongly drawn to and enjoyed. I'm only 26 despite my elderly profile picture but a lot of drawing through my high school years helped me get to my accurate drawing but the painting only came around the last 3 or 4 years. But the drawing is the most important in my opinion.
Really nice work, Dave. The shapes on the face & hands are a real treat to look at.
